While preparing for the launch of our PHP classified ads script Open Classifieds 2.2.0 we made a post giving the chance to our community to contribute with their ideas and suggestions, and we looked at each suggestion thoroughly. We found that we already implemented some of the suggestions and finished coding them, while other suggestions would need a small support to be integrated to the software.
I arranged a list of suggestions mentioned between our old post, forums and support system. If you don’t find your suggestion here feel free to post it as a comment in the section below. We decided to give the community a chance to make those changes possible by covering costs only, this way it would be cheaper to implement and it would make the software better so it’s a win-win solution.
Here are the suggestions:

Multiple payment gateways: Already integrated for more info check the sneak peek video.

Contact form issue: user doesn’t have to fill his name and e-mail if already logged in when contacting another user: Already done!

Seller Profile Appear at the side of his/her ads posted on the site.

User and product review: Really great idea! 500$ and it will be integrated with the software.

Favorite system: Another great idea! each user would have their favorite ads and it would cost only 250$ to be implemented.

Two sidebars option: We will consider adding this option to one or two of the themes as an option.

Logistics integration (shipping): This feature will not be considered for future releases, we don’t see it feasible for a classifieds website.

Auto complete in search: This feature will not be considered for future releases, we don’t see it feasible for a classifieds website.

Changing fonts and colors in text editor: Under consideration.

Yes/No to appear in listing veiw: Custom fields values to appear in listings view, this is also one of the ideas that we like :) 300$

Custom fields related to custom fields: Since sub categories are already available, this feature will not be developed for now.

When editing an ad make user editable (migrate ad from user to another): We don’t see any value for this really.

Print ready page for ads: This can be implemented for some themes for 100$

IP based hit tracking on advertisement: Already have a plan for that.

HTML based edit for Blogs: Already an available feature with the current version.

Custom fields for user registration: this is a bit complex, but doable for a cost of 1500$ USD

Separate ad expiry time by category: Also complex and would cost 1200$
Backing the development of those features would be great for both the software and yourself, because you will still have access to future updates and you will be paying much less (for example, the yes/no to show in listings view button would cost normally 700$ to be implemented on one website)
