We are already in 2016 and a year just ended. At Open Classifieds we want to thank you for being as loyal as always and we would like to share with you some 2015 stats that may interest you.
As you already know Open Classifieds started its operation back in 2008 by Chema. Now we are a team of 5 people form different countries focused on improving and growing our lovely script. We are very proud of our entire team and the efforts they made in 2015 to keep Open Classifieds at the top of classifieds software. It is important to remark that we boostrapped from scratch and NEVER received any amount of money from any investor. That is important to remark because nowadays nobody would open a company without thinking in raising money! We are so proud of that!
Here you will find some interesting milestones and stats we reached in the last year:
1.- Hired a Technical support agent, Constantinos. He is from Cyprus and living in UK.
2.- Hired a theme developer, Thom. He is from the Netherlands but actually living everywhere. He loves to travel and work while crossing the world.
3.- Hired a new CEO. Me! I am Marco from Spain living in Barcelona. I came to liberate Chema to the business operations, marketing, sales and finance. But also to grow OC and Yclas and reach new levels of business.
4.- Acquired Noah’s classifieds, one of the oldest classifieds scripts.
5.- Developed iOS and Android app for our customers. After some problems with our app developers in the end we finished with excellent results.
6.- We started 2015 with 2.3. software version but finished with 2.6.1. That means a lot of work from our developers, lots of improvements. Some features added on 2015 to remark:
- Message system (like chat)
- New Payment integration (2 checkout, Paysbuy, Alipay)
- Custom fields for users
- New languages (Serbian, Croatian, Filipino)
- Search by distance/location
- New admin panel look and feel
- Coupon system
7.- Added 3 new themes: Splash, Yummo and Job Drop, and Olson revamped. With a total of 12 themes on our market.
8.- 15.308 New downloads
9.- 4.800 sites running with Open Classifieds
10.- 36.035 Active users
What for this 2016?
Open Classifieds is already a referent worldwide; anyone looking into classifieds scripts have heard of Open Classifieds. This is really awesome and we need to keep this level. Technology changes and is improved every day which means that we need to adapt ourselves to what the market wants. With our native apps we can reach new goals and this year we would like to focus our efforts in improving our apps and of course our software with new releases. We will continue developing our hosted solution Yclas, that is performing very well.
