The website has a very clean look and feels a bit like the Google homepage, with the “less is more” idea. This makes the website very fast and gives a great user experience. On the listing page the searcher can narrow down the results by applying filters on the sidebar.

Also Indeed offers the possibility to create job alerts for getting a warning if a new job is posted that meets your requirements.

LinkedIn is not only a website that offers a huge database with vacancies, it offers the option to network. From that point of view it is rather a networking site than a pure job board. The website strongly focuses on the employers side, offering them to search workers based on their skills and profile. Next to that it is a great tool to connect with people in your professional world, making it easier to find a job.

You can however also just search for jobs using the search engine, using job title, company and location as the main search criteria. Advanced search options are also available if a user wants to specify his search.

The software provides specified features for making a job website, using search fields specifically made for jobs (salary, job type, hours, etc.). Think of a job board for the city where you are living at. Or a job board specifically designed for student jobs.

These kind of classifieds websites, that focus on a particular group, have been proved to be very successful. However these big websites are offering a great amount of vacancies it is often also a hassle to find the vacancies that are suitable.
