Today we would like to share with you a post about how to attract more visitors to your website. Having traffic to your website is the first step of attracting new customers and advertisers. Without actually having visitors it will be difficult to make money. Therefore we came up with five useful tips which you can use to increase traffic.
1 – Have attractive content
To start with maybe the most important part of your website: the content is the king. You have can have a fantastically good looking website, with the newest design and great looks, but without interesting content on it, it is worthless. People won’t come back to your website if they can’t find any content they want to see. So make sure that your website has something to offer.
2 – Update website frequently
Linked to the previous tip, to have attractive content, your content should also be up to date. People are only coming back to your website if they expect there might be something new to be discovered. Think of your own visiting behavior to websites. Websites which have constantly changing content, like Facebook, YouTube, Twitter or your favorite blog, are most likely the websites you visit regularly. You do this, because you almost certainly know that something new is to be seen or read. So tip number two: update your website often.
3 – Maintain a blog
Another way of achieving more traffic is maintaining a blog on your site. In this blog you can post about your thoughts or ideas you have (regarding your website), give your opinion or view on a certain matter, communicate with your customers or visitors, write an interesting article, etc. The possibilities are endless. Doing this and making it interesting for the reader, will make them coming back. When they are doing that they will also check other parts of your site, if they see something that might interest them. Furthermore you can build a relationship with your readers this way.
4 – Social sharing to website
To make it easier for your visitors to share information from your website that they find interesting, you should implement social sharing. Someone would easier share content with a friend, colleague or family if you have the option on you website to share it with for example Twitter or Facebook. With one mouse click of one of your visitors you can then reach hundreds of other people which are in the social circle of the sharer. Make your content viral.
5 – Become active on social media
Using social media you can actively promote your website and product. You shouldn’t expect that people will automatically find you. You have to post links in order to attract them to your website. After you have created a blog post you can for example post this on Twitter too, redirecting them to your site. Or if you have a new product which you want people to know of; share it on Facebook. Also you can use social media to communicate directly with your visitors. Answer them when they have a question about your site or product.
