OC 2.1.8 please read the update instructions carefully

With this release we’re preparing Open Classifieds for the next level and accordingly we had to apply some core changes to the software, so we recommend that you follow the update steps one by one, and in case you face any issues read the troubleshooting section below.

CZSale and Kamaleon theme owners now have another color option to choose from! and after many suggestions we added the option to force your users to register before posting an ad. New Bulgarian language is now available and many other improvements listed below. We have also updated our FAQ and documentation section, so now you can find the answer to any question you have about the software easily here.

Open Classifieds has been downloaded in total 295,147 times.

Automatic Update

NOTE: Only do this if you have 2.1.6 or 2.1.7

1. Make a backup of all your files and DB (optional, recommended)
2. Go to your panel
3. Clean cache or go to http://YOURDOMAIN.com/oc-panel/tools/cache?force=1
4. Go to updates-> Click on Check for Updates or go to http://YOURDOMAIN.com/oc-panel/update/index?reload=1
5. Press on Update button or go to http://YOURDOMAIN.com/oc-panel/update/latest
6. Wait few seconds..
7. Done

Manual Update

You need to do it like this if you have an older version than 2.1.6, it’s really simple don’t worry ;)

1. Make a backup of all your files and DB (optional, recommended)
2. Download latest 2.1.8
3. First you need to enable maintenance mode
4. Upload only these files:
   • oc/config/routes.php
   • oc/classes/*
   • oc/modules/*
   • oc/vendor/*
   • oc/ko323/*
   • oc/bootstrap.php
   • themes/*
   • languages/* (only if you want new languages)
   • index.php
5. Launch in your browser http://yourdomain.com/oc-panel/update/218 (this will update the DB and disable the maintenance mode)
6. Ready!

Troubleshooting

This release updates the core of Open Classifieds to prepare it for future 2.2.0; there are few internal processes changed.

If you see an error while updating, please refresh your browser or go to http://YOURDOMAIN.com/oc-panel/update/218 , if an error keeps displaying delete the files inside the folder /oc/cache/.
