New release: Open Classifieds 1.7.3

Hello! is summer but we still working hard here ;)

For today we have an small release with few little changes:

  • Optional login
  • Problem with register link
  • SQL injection prevent for admin as well
  • Install shows date
  • On install we don’t insert all the countries but just some examples
  • improved filecache, now stores cache by folder

How to install:

  • Download
  • Unpack
  • Run the installation in http://yourdomain.com/install/
  • Follow the steps
  • Working!

How to Upgrade  from 1.7.2 to 1.7.3:

How to upgrade form any other version:
  • Create a backup of your files
  • Download new version
  • Uncompress
  • Run the installation in http://yourdomain.com/install/
  • Follow the steps
  • Ready!

    adsense ads do not work anymore in the new release. it displays code rnrnrn in the box even after you edit it. Please fix

    There we will discuss how is the best way to fix it.

    Right now without the update the best is to edit you theme directly and paste the code.

    i have updated my site with the latest version, but now the Friendly URL’s is not working with the latest version. i tried disabling and enabling the Friendly URL’s but stil it not working. so, i am forced to disable this Friendly URL. can anyone help me out?

    Ravi please use the forum http://open-classifieds.com/forum/?new=1 also try to change the language and save, then change it bakc, this restores the htaccess file.

    your script’s green theme is really the one I liked much out of any other classifieds sites.. Hey can we allow visitors to post ads without registration in this script?

    yes go to settings and disable logon to post.

    once you are in the admin, settings initial settings Logon to Post, please use the forum for any other support.
