Hello OC friends!
Some months without posting something on Open Classifieds blog, but we decided to be silent and prepare one of the most important decisions our team and company have took ever… Today is the day, we rename Open Classifieds to Yclas Self-Hosted.
Why?
It’s been 2 years since we have launched Yclas.com our SaaS to create awesome marketplaces and classifieds sites in few minutes. In this 2 years we have improved the platform and we have grown considerably a lot but we kept Open Classifieds and Yclas as two separated brands and softwares.
Benefits for everyone ;)
With this change we aim to improve few things
- Cleaner brand, all under same name
- Unified development
- Unique professional support center
- Less content / design to update
- Usage of less resources, employee time and expenses
- Unified license system (1 license for all themes)
- More focused on users
What Will Change?
With this improvement we wanted to not affect too much to our current users and customers! For you it is still free and if you were a paid customer you will still have the theme you bought.
But some points to mention that will be visible while working with Open Classifieds (now Yclas self-hosted)
- Since now, when you open Open-classifieds.com you will see a big modal pointing to Yclas and an alret telling you this content may be outdated
- Yclas Self-Hosted Lite – Open Classifieds FREE version now is called Lite
- Yclas Self-Hosted Pro – Includes all themes in 1 license (themes buyers please check your mail)
- Support will be done in Yclas and paid customers at selfhosted.yclas.com
- New releases will be notified here https://yclas.com/selfhosted/changelog and via email
- Market.open-classifeds.com will redirect to selfhosted.yclas.com
- Docs.yclas.com will only refer to Yclas not Open Classifieds
- We will change all our newsletters to our new brand
