We are happy to announce that on July 20th 2015 OpenClassifieds LTD has bought the domain name of noahsclassifieds.org, the Noah’s software and the included database of users.
As the domain name already suggests, Noah’s Classifieds is another provider of Classifieds software. Since the beginning we have been following Noah’s Classifieds as we saw them as one of our main competitors. However since late 2012 the software hasn’t been updated anymore. The founder and owner who started this project in 2003 is currently fully committed to his new company. Therefore Noah’s Classifieds didn’t get the support and development it deserved.
With the takeover of Noah’s we believe that our company can set a step forward by increasing the number of customers and with that also our revenues. This will offer us better opportunities to provide new products, more development and even better support. For that reason we think that the deal with Noah’s is one with great potential.
For our current customers of course nothing will change. For the users of the Noah’s software we have developed a migration tool that can be used to migrate the Noah’s classifieds sites to Open Classifieds.
As said, with this takeover we think that Open Classifieds will become an even better company that can remain profitable on the long term and continue providing great open source software with great support.
