Remember that it is essential to read our update instructions really carefully

So we’ve been working hard for this release and I don’t want to spoil the joy of experiencing the new features with this release but I’m really excited for the interactive map which you can now add to your site homepage yourself without any coding! the countries and regions are already preset so you just need to add the area you want your site to cover. This is only available for Open Classifieds premium users but we also added two new skins to choose from in our default ocean theme that comes with the free version and to Ocean premium.

Since Google spread the news about its new No captcha reCAPTCHA we had a user (Andy) who requested this feature to be added to the software and funded its development, and thanks to him and our development team right now we all have it integrated into our websites and can activate it with 2.3.0

What’s new with 2.3.0?

  • Google reCAPTCHA
  • Custom CSS
  • Allow images upload to Amazon S3
  • Homepage map
  • Block upload of nudity
  • Images in RSS feed
  • Preview content before publishing
  • User tour after first login
  • Favicon uploader
  • Spanish translation updated
  • Added HTML in head field for validation metadata

And many more, you can find the full list of updates at our github repository

How to update?

Really important that you do not execute the automatic update from your oc-panel since it won’t work unless if you have 2.2.1! read these instructions carefully.

If you can’t update your site we offer the update service for $50 if you have a 2.x, if you have an older version contact us first please.

Troubleshooting

—————

If you are running a version of OC older than 2.1.4 you will get this message after updating:

Fatal error: Class ‘Database_Mysql’ not found , to fix it follow this short guide.

Then execute at your browser again: http://yourdomain.com/oc-panel/update/database?from_version=2.0.3

—————

If you are running version lower than any 2.x, that means any 1.x version follow first this guide.
